AKD gives a presentation about trademark and copyright in regard to the case Winters – Red Bull.

The European Co-Packers Association (ECPA) has had its General Assembly on April 12th at the factory of its associated member Reynders Label Printing in Boechout in Belgium. As an advocate of the European co-packing industry the ECPA board this time asked the lawyers of AKD to hive a presentation about the recently closed case of Winters versus Red Bull, where co-packer Winters was accused of violating the trademark of Red Bull.

ECPA expands into Europe - October 2011
Belgian and German co-packer join the ECPA, European Co-packers Association.

The European Co-Packers Association (ECPA) is expanding its membership steadily, not only in the Netherlands, where it was founded, but also internationally. Recently the German co-packer RCP Ranstadt became a member and previously Aminolabs in Hasselt (Belgium) joined the association. Reynders Label Printing recently joined as an associated member and also Smurfit Kappa Corrugated Benelux signed up for an associated membership. ECPA reinforces its position as a representative of the co-packing industry and also realizes its (European) ambitions.
