The members of the European Co-packers Association (ECPA) act from the principle that doing business is based on personal commitment of the highest level.

From this principle, each member will:

  • during the exercise of his profession protect and cherish in his market area the health, safety and wellbeing of inhabitants and consumers in particular. Contracts contrary to this principle will rather be rejected than doing violence to this principle;
  • determine which competences must be present to be able to accept an assignment or project; only orders covered by the competence area will be accepted;
  • treat Information from and about customers and / or their products confidentially and will ensure and guarantee anonymity of the client if so requested;
  • take care of the work professionally and with dignity and will ensure and guard the expected and desired integrity;
  • continuously develop knowledge, experience and expertise within the organization to offer clients appropriate solutions; projects will be supported by the required technological renovations.
  • only work together with one party per project, unless beforehand mutually was made clear and laid down that several parties participate in a project.
  • communicate observations and recommendations in an honest and straightforward way to make clear to clients their importance and their limitations;
  • communicate in an open, honest and objective way about suppliers and their products or services;
  • have the disposal of the required systems the ensure and to implement the above;

The members of the European Co-packers Association have imposed to themselves to endorse and always comply to the Code of Conduct.
